- 1888 Oba Ovonramwen ascended the throne. Messrs Okundaye (The author of “ A concise History of Obadan” grandfather), a member of Iweguae Society alias N´Oba magiekifin), Ehigie (alias Oguane), Okungbowa, and Ogbebo all from Obadan were his (Emuada) State Sword Bearers
- 1896 Obadan became a Military Training Centre for the Bini Soldiers
- 1897 Obadan Military Training Centre was disbanded as a result of the Benin massacre
- 1914 Oba Ovonramen passed away at calabar. Beginning of the First World War WWI.
- 1918 An epidemic influenza (popularly called Egboghogbogho) spred to Obadan. Oba Ovonramwen passed away at Calabar. Beginning of First World War
- 1926 The reign and end of Osanughegbe the prophet who had some converts from Obadan
- 1933 Oba Akenzua II ascended the throne. (He married three women from Obadan during his reign)
- 1939 The struggle to have a recognized school at Obadan started. Beginning of the Second World War (popularly called Hitleric war)
- 1940 Co-operative School was opened at Obadan
- 1945 The great famine, which resulted from poor harvest of food crops due to drought and effect of the Second World War was experienced at Obadan
- 1946 The reign of Ulele Priest at Irhue village. He also had a branch at Obadan
- 1947 The forest which was out of bound for palm nuts collectors for one year was reopened by the elders of the village for the palm nut collectors. The eclipse of the sun was experienced at Obadan for the first time
- 1950 A delegation led by Messrs Evbuomwan Osawe, Ikponmwen Okuorobo went to welcome Oba Akenzua II on his arrival from England
- 1951 The Ogboni and Otu-Edo riot which adversely affected some people at Obadan (mostly members of the Ogboni)
- 1952 Co-operative School Obadan became B.D.N.A.
- 1954 Obadan Primary School produced the first graduates with First School Leaving Certificate
- 1965 (July) Owegbe Cult Enquiry started. Its members became embarrassed at Obadan
- 1982 (April) Three days fasting was observed by the Binis
